This position is for a full-time, 12-month, unclassified, staff position.
This is a grant funded position.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
Work experience in project management required.
Requires excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
Requires experience with fiscal management and projections, project management, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team on a complex project.
Management of successful outcomes and supervision of detailed reporting of outcomes is required.
Requires excellent computer skills.
Requires the ability to work a flexible schedule to work with faculty and students taking evening classes.
Valid Driver’s License.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, and handle or feel objects and controls.
Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 10 pounds.
Must be capable of sitting in a stationary position for 50% or more of the time.

Job Concepts
This position has direct management and supervision of the Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Technology (CAMET) at Bossier Parish Community College. This individual is responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing various trainings, classes, and programs that aim to improve the skills and knowledge of the workforce to meet the evolving needs of regional employers. The Project Director will also support the programmatic needs of the Division of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
Examples of Work
Performs project functions for CAMET, including:
Develop long-term and short-term strategies for workforce development that align with economic trends and labor market demands in Northwest Louisiana;
Forge relationships with employers, educational institutions, government agencies, and community organizations to understand their workforce and training needs and create responsive programs;
Conduct outreach efforts to engage community members and employers in workforce development programs, and recruit participants for training initiatives;
Identify optimal space configuration to meet training/education requirements;
Evaluate and implement the mission and goals of the CAMET;
Communicate information to individuals and groups;
Interpret and apply the policies and procedures of the center, institution, and project initiatives;
Maintain records and prepare reports;
Pursue, develop, and monitor internal and external contracts;
Prepare and administer budgets, including expense analysis, periodic invoicing, financial reporting, reconciliations, revised budgeting, labor distribution changes, purchasing functions, marketing and outreach, and associated communications with vendors;
Research project feasibility and determine the benefit of potential projects;
Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others;
Ensuring quality of CAMET projects;
Collaborate with college personnel and key project staff to track program effectiveness based on evidence-based milestones for project success; and
Manage logistics related to projects.
Supports the Division and Institution:
In assessing the effectiveness of CAMET projects;
By participating in and supporting center, division, institutional events, procedures, advisory boards, tours, open houses, and projects.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
