Oral Arts Dental Laboratories Technical Trainer (1334) in Huntsville, Alabama

Oral Arts is a full-service family owned and operated dental laboratory. We manufacture dental prostheses, such as crowns, bridges, implants, dentures, partials, orthodontic appliances, etc. and have an immediate need for a full time Dental Lab Trainer.

Description of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify training and development needs by consulting with supervisors, managers, and Human Resources
  • Design and expand training, development material, and programs based on the needs of the company and the individual
  • Lead training courses as necessary on an individual basis, classroom setting, etc.
  • Manage the delivery of training and development material and communicate schedules with supervisors, managers, employees, etc.
  • Amend and revise educational material and programs, as necessary, in order to adapt to changes in the work environment
  • Accommodate different learning needs and create individual learning plans as necessary
  • Monitor and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with managers
  • Coordinate, plan and promote all educational opportunities and events including but not limited to; Continuing Education for all in-house Certified Dental Technicians and Continuing Education opportunities for dentists
  • Assist managers to solve specific training problems
  • Keep up to date with developments in training and the dental industry by reading relevant journals, going to meetings, and attending relevant courses
  • Research new methodologies and technologies in workplace learning

Required experience:

  • 10 years experience in the dental industry
  • 2 years experience in training development and delivery
  • Certified Dental Technician (CDT) preferred but not required
  • Must have experience with adult learning principles and curriculum development
  • Must have strong organizational, operational, and project management skills

Pay/Salary is based on relevant experience.
