JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Researcher I/II position will work independently and alongside the Principal Investigator in Cancer Biology and Biomarkers in the UW Laboratory of Josh Lang, M.D. at the UW Carbone Cancer Center. One focus in the Lang lab includes cancer immunology and circulating tumor cells in prostate cancer. This research will focus on rare cell analysis, immunology, and epigenetics. The position requires the ability to work in a collaborative environment with other investigators on joint projects in this field. Involvement in these activities is expected to lead to scholarly work that will be published in scientific journals. Qualifications: Required Qualifications - Previous laboratory maintenance and operations oversight - Previous experience with nucleic acid and protein extraction and PCR Preferred Qualifications - Previous experience with molecular biology techniques including next generation sequencing or epigenetic analysis including ChIP Preferred Knowledge and Skills - Extremely well-organized with a keen eye for detail - Able to thrive in fast-paced, challenging, and stimulating environments. - A strong communicator, both verbally and in writing.
