Eaton Corporation Operations Program Manager in Moon Township, Pennsylvania

Eaton’s Electrical Sector-Americas (ES-A) is currently seeking an Operations Program Manager. This position can be based at an Eaton location or remotely from a US-based home office.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $120,075 - $176,110 a year.

What you’ll do:

As an Operations Program Manager at Eaton, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

In this role, you will focus on successful execution of large cross-division, cross-business unit Manufacturing projects including strategic footprint initiatives, Distribution Center transformations, and others, as well as improving maturity of program management practice across Manufacturing Ops. You are required to navigate ambiguous challenges requiring fluency in Project Management, change management & communications.

You are a strategic and versatile program manager with experience in operations program management having led large scale footprint & transition projects. You have a collaborative, professional, and service-oriented approach when interacting with business partners, utilizing strong communication skills and interpersonal skills. A genuine passion for transformation, combined with relationship-building, leadership skills will be key to success.

  • Manages the Profit and Loss of the operations program(s) and projects. Responsibility, Authority and Accountability (RAA) for every project scope delivery and successful execution within technical, schedule, cost, and quality commitments.

  • Establishes objectives and goals and provides direction to the program and project teams in areas of customer concerns, potential changes in scope and risk assessment.

  • Leads and drives project planning, execution, requirements change, risk mitigation, and issue tracking

  • Develop, define, create, and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and uploads, as appropriate, to portfolio management information system

  • Able to effectively integrate projects into programs and manage execution to ensure goals are successfully achieved

  • Lead large transfers of lines and processes between Plants

  • Act as a change agent to help drive adoption of Eaton’s program management PROLaunch processes

  • Provides periodic program updates (Program Status Report – Green/Yellow/Red) of current situation relating to milestones and problem/high risk areas (e.g., technical, cost, and schedule) to the business units as well as divisional, and sector levels

  • Plays a key role in developing new business proposals

  • Coordinates resources across a range of functional organizations and locations both local and remote during all stages of the project

  • Participate as Program Management lead on Operational Assessments (OpA) of other sites in both Industrial and Electrical Sectors

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressively advancing experience in project management

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics and/or Warehouse functions

  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expert in program management – waterfall. Exposure to agile project management

  • Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation (PMP) or equivalent highly recommended

  • Extensive experience in process design & development, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), continuous improvement frameworks

  • Experience with Business intelligence tools (e.g., Qlik sense, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, others) a plus

  • Experience working in a global and matrixed organization in the electrical, vehicle, technology industry, with insight and sensitivity to cultural influences

Skills:

  • Proven track record of managing and delivering successful enterprise-wide programs, and multi-disciplinary change initiatives – with focus on Operations footprint, Supply Chain, other programs)

  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen

  • Experience in Risk Management

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to make connections across workstreams and matrixed organizations

  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to logically structure issues and determine recommended resolutions

  • Excellent business communications and presentation skills, interpersonal and partnership skills at all levels of the organization, including working with leaders and executives

  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to simultaneously drive numerous projects, as well as identify, resolve, and prioritize differing business issues

  • Versatile and driven team player with the ability to build relationships and community with coworkers and cross-functional partners

  • Must be willing and able to accommodate working with various time zones on a regular basis

  • Must be capable of leading effectively in diverse cultural situations

  • Must be capable of initiating and providing recommendations and solutions for Senior Leadership Team’s review and approval that will achieve desired outcomes and business result

  • Bilingual- English/Spanish would be an asset, but is not required
