Position Overview:

In this dual role, you will support the end-to-end process from opportunity generation to cash collection in a growing market, targeting both Transit Authorities and Freight Railroads. Your responsibilities will involve ensuring successful bid and proposal preparation, submission, and tracking, as well as managing orders and taking responsibility for forecasting and reporting the project's financials. This position requires strong project management skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across the globe.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Act as the main contact person for all bid related activities for software bids

  • Understand commercial requirements of the project and coordinate with e.g. Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Export Control and Customs

  • Support the bid process by identifying risks, preparing management reviews and ensure timely submission

  • Managing the onshore scope of the projects and align with internal offshore partners

  • Perform financial planning, forecasting, controlling, reconciliation of bid pipeline, project cash flow and routine deviation analysis using SAP

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization across different time zones

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple bids simultaneously.

  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities

  • A solid understanding of B2B contracts and value flows within international companies (onshore/offshore splits, transfer pricing)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering or relevant field or 5+ years of experience in a similar role

  • Manufacturing sector experience and exposure to general accounting and cost accounting are preferred

  • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP a plus)

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Experience in the Public Transit industry, Rail industry and/or public contracting is a plus

The base salary range for this position in New York City, NY is $86,600 - $116,900. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
