Prudentials Group Insurance business manufactures and distributes a full range of group life, long-term and short-term group disability, supplemental health, and group corporate, bank and trust owned life insurance in the U.S., primarily to institutional clients for use in connection with employee and membership benefits plans. Group Insurance also sells accidental death and dismemberment and other ancillary coverages and provides plan administrative services in connection with its insurance coverages.
The Group Insurance business has been undergoing a transformation which includes expanding HCM, Benefits Technology and Enrollment Services capabilities to drive sustainable, profitable growth.
We are currently seeking an individual to become part of the Product organization, as VP, HR Technology Partnerships & Enrollment Services. This will be a
critical market facing and strategic role
for the Group Insurance organization. The incumbent, through their various teams will be responsible for HCM, Benefits Technology and Enrollment Strategy partnership advancement and relationship management. The leader will also define and ensure successful execution of the HCM and Benefits Technology roadmap which includes integration with external partners via APIs. Furthermore, this role will direct the Enrollment Services function to ensure Group Insurance is maximizing each enrollment opportunity for voluntary benefits.
This role will collaborate extensively with Distribution, Product P&L Leaders, Underwriting, Operations and Technology Leadership. Additionally, this role will cultivate relationships with distribution networks to promote, market, and support Prudential's HR Tech solutions.
This role will have direct reports and is open to Virtual locations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Define and manage Group Insurances partnership strategy with Human Capital Management partners (Workday, UKG, Dayforce, Oracle, and ADP WFN), Benefits Technology partners (Businessolver, Benefitfocus, bswift, Empyrean, Employee Navigator, Plansource, ADP Nationals, Alight, and Selerix), and Enrollment partners to help drive profitable grow for Group Life, Disability, Absence and Supplemental Health products.
Ensure the team is regularly monitoring external landscape to determine if new partners and/or new APIs with existing partners should be added to help drive growth goals for Group Insurance.
Ensure the team is appropriately on-boarding new partners and effectively leading those relationships.
For key customers, attend finalist meetings and stewardship meetings with distribution to position GIs HCM, Benefits Technology and Enrollment Services capabilities.
Ensure the team is equipped to support distribution for finalist and stewardship meetings and there is a robust training plan in place to educate the organization related to our HCM, Ben Tech and Enrollment capabilities.
Function as a Thought Leader for Prudential GI related to HCM, Ben Tech and Enrollment capabilities and effectively positioning solutions in market via conferences, webinars, and other events. Additionally, represent Prudential GI on various industry committees related to HR Tech and Enrollment.
Ensure quarterly business review meetings take place between partners and Prudential, with an annual evaluation of the health of each partnership.
Define the external API integration strategy with HCM, Ben Tech and Middleware partners to drive optimal customer experience for Group Insurance clients.
Optimize the Enrollment Services function to effectively manage each enrollment event to drive desired outcomes to profitably grow optional group life and supplemental health products (Accident, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity).
Direct Enrollment Services function to effectively partner with distribution, underwriting and marketing to define optimal enrollment strategy for new business and add issue sales at a case level to positively impact participation results.
Direct the development of re-enrollment strategies to increase inforce voluntary benefit participation.
Direct the advancement and communication of Enrollment activity pipeline reporting on a monthly basis.
Partner with the Marketing team to develop and deliver targeted benefits education and communication content to help drive enrollment results.
Perform capacity planning and assign work to direct reports.
Lead, coach, develop, and provide strategic guidance for team members while fostering a culture of innovation and inclusion.
Leadership, Experience & Expertise:
10 years of experience in Group Insurance, with at least 5 years of experience leading a Benefits Technology and/or Enrollment partnership team.
5 years of experience with Third-Party Platforms like HCMs, TPAs, Benefit Admin, Enrollment or Benefits Marketplaces.
5 years of experience defining / directing Enrollment Services teams.
Demonstrated experience driving HR Technology partnership assessments and implementation.
Self-starter, who can define and establish a HR Technology & Enrollment services roadmap.
Be technology-forward, identifying and driving advanced technologies to create a connected benefits ecosystem.
Track record of successfully delivering technology partnership projects with iterative release components.
A leader, manager, and administrator with an engaging personality, who has strong people management skills.
A problem-solver who exhibits sound business judgement and innovative applications of risk adherence who can adapt as necessary and appropriate to the situation.
