What You’ll Get to Do :

CACI is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to support our Air Force program in Warner-Robins GA, at AFLCMC/HBG on Robins AFB, GA.

The desired candidate may oversee the efforts of less senior staff; develop and maintains cyber plans, strategies, and guidance to align with organizational cybersecurity initiatives and regulatory compliance; design/integrates cyber strategies; provides guidance of cyber policy and strategy as appropriate; and ensures sound principles are reflected in the organization's mission, vision, and goals.

  • Provide engineering services to support testing of software (SW) that is enhanced and subsequently integrated into the AF DCGS as part of the sustainment lifecycle.

  • Responsible for implementing and applying technologies, processes, and practices designed to protect networks, devices, programs, and data from malicious attack, damage, or unauthorized access.

  • Researches and maintains proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends in computer and network vulnerabilities, data hiding and network and device security and encryption.

  • Designs, develops, or recommends integrated system solutions ensuring proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected in accordance with mandated standards.

  • Participates with the client in the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into technical designs.

  • Configures and validates secure systems, tests security products/systems to detect information security weakness.

  • Generates security architecture documentation.

  • Provides critical written and verbal analyses of previously generated security architecture documentation and vulnerability and risk assessments.

  • Develops and implements Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&M) to remediate findings from vulnerability and risk assessments.

  • Provide innovative cybersecurity test and evaluation services that comply with RMF requirements and assist with the ATO/Fast Track process. Interview system SMEs; validate controls; HW/SW lists; topology, and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).

  • Provides information assurance for digital information, ensuring its confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

  • Prepare a system risk rating and determine risk reduction measures based on information assurance control subject areas.

  • Prepare and maintain a Risk Assessment Report (RAR). Responsibilities monitoring and testing of IT systems for vulnerabilities and indication of compromise, incident response and remediation.

  • Develops appropriate cyber security policies and tracks compliance with applicable DoD standards.

More About the Role:

  • Maintain cyber security protection of the AF DCGS OA infrastructure, data, and applications.

  • Support AFLCMC/HBGB in executing the cyber security requirements using an RMF consistent with the principles established NIST SP 800-37, and as outlined in DoDI 8510.01 RMF.

  • Provide proactive continuous monitoring activity and support the implementation and operation of an insider threat capability.

  • Identify and prioritize potential threats, and document both the harmful events and what actions to take to resolve them.

  • Provide enterprise sustainment picture of the AF DCGS to include the likelihood of risk impacts to the mission.

  • Develop methods of Threat Modeling and demonstrate methods to optimize network security by locating vulnerabilities, identifying objectives, and developing countermeasures to either prevent or mitigate the effects of attacks.

  • Follow the established Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes to achieve interim approval and/or full authority to operate.

  • Ensure all requirements are met as outlined in the ODN, ICD 503 and NIST 800-37 for the development of XACTA package Body of Evidence (BOE).

  • Ensure all applications being sustained for the AF DCGS are operated and maintained in accordance with DoD, DISA), AF, SAF/IG and AF OSI security guidelines, directives, and updates.

  • Work with Security Control Assessors (SCA) and associated teams to improve the security of AF systems by reducing risk postures through the identification of risk reductions and mitigations.

  • Communicate effectively with other system engineers, system administrators, software developers, and information assurance professionals, operational users, and diverse mission planners.

  • Advanced knowledge of DoD STIG compliance and reporting.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.

  • DOD Directive 8570 IAM II certification (CASP+, CISM, or equivalent).

  • 10-years of ISSE experience, or Master’s Degree IS Technology, Computer Science or related field and 8 years’ IS Technology experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, 800-53A, and the implementation of the RMF process IAW NIST 800-37.

  • Innovative cybersecurity test and evaluation experience that comply with RMF requirements and assist with the ATO/Fast Track process.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

  • Specific knowledge of AF DCGS Engineering processes.

  • ITIL v4 Foundation certification.

$78,000 - $163,800
