Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Salt Lake City, Utah

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, for a meticulous and efficient Accounts Payable Clerk. The role involves working in a fast-paced, professional setting within the telecom provider industry. This role will require the successful candidate to manage various tasks related to accounts payable, including reconciliations, invoicing, and ledger management.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile invoices and identify any discrepancies to ensure accurate and timely payments

• Create and manage new vendor files while maintaining existing ones, ensuring all vendor information is up to date

• Keep a record of sales tax, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date

• Update and maintain the general ledger to ensure financial records are accurate

• Process freight invoices and purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner

• Handle diverse billing operations, ensuring all invoices are issued correctly and payments are received in a timely manner

• Prepare 1099's and perform related tasks as required

• Collaborate with other departments to improve accounts payable processes, ensure compliance with accounting regulations, and optimize vendor relationships

• Utilize accounting software for account reconciliation, managing accounts payable, and data entry

• Use Microsoft Excel for invoice processing and check runs. Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation tasks.

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in handling accounts payable (AP).

• Experience in check runs and coding invoices.

• Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in invoice processing.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with QuickBooks for managing accounting functions.

• Must possess strong organizational and multitasking skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
