Job Summary:
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) MAJCOM Support Technician (MCST) will provide support to EOD MAJCOM/Detachments in the form of support to management, planning, programming, and technical advice in areas of EOD readiness, mobility, force protection, operations, and combat support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the AF EOD Modernization Program Manager (AFCEC/CXD) and the AF EOD Equipment Manager in planning, programming, and budgeting operational and maintenance and Investment program funding in support of Multiservice tools and technology that support the AF EOD counter-IED and force protection equipment modernization and lifecycle sustainment programs from Naval EOD Technology Division (NAVEODTECHDIV).
Assist with distributing intelligence reports from Joint Service EOD Technical Support Center and various other intelligence sources, to the AF EOD career field via SharePoint, community of practice and the Joint Service Mobile Field Kit.
Provide technical papers and working data from the Joint Service to the AF EOD Equipment Working Group/panels.
Provide support for face-to-face and electronic meetings.
Prepare and present briefings, review work and products, conduct training instructions.
Participate in meetings and conferences in support of government technical advisor – NAVEODTECHDIV.
Serve as an advisor on technical JSEOD issues and intelligence matters on NNMSB and JMEC.
Work in concert with AFCEC/CXD to support the DDESB and ABCANZ agreements.
Qualifications:
NAVSCOLEOD Graduate (DD 214 and Graduation Cert Required).
Prior EOD with Senior Badge.
Ten years of EOD experience.
Valid Driver License.
Current DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Honorable Discharge if prior military.
Knowledgeable in all aspects of AF EOD Functions.
Familiarity with the Automated Readiness Information System (ARIS) to track equipment accounts.
Familiarity with EOD Information Management Systems (EODIMS), Battlefield Airmen Rapid Refresh and Replenishment (BARS), Enhanced Technical Management System (ETIMS), and AF "myLearning", the Learning Management System (LMS) application currently being utilized to document upgrade and qualification training.
Familiarity with MAJCOM staff desired but not required.
Be able to effectively communicate with multiple organizations on staff and throughout the Federal Government.
