PCI Aviation Electrical Engineer - 178 in Warner Robins, Georgia

Electrical Engineer to provide engineering and technical support for ongoing and future C-130 aircraft avionic systems. Job duties shall include but not be limited to: reviewing installation diagrams and instructions, reviewing support equipment requirements and, participating in technical and engineering problem resolution, determining and resolving airworthiness impacts, determining and resolving cybersecurity impacts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to 107 and 202 Assistance Requests
  • Support Aircraft Modification efforts
  • Work with other engineers and/or lead an Integrated Product Team for Aircraft Modification
  • Investigate Joint Deficiency Reports
  • Validate/Verify Technical Order changes and Time Compliance Technical Orders
  • Approve TO change requests
  • Create Technical Data Packages for C-130 Parts
  • Identify Critical Safety Items
  • Trial Kit and Prototype Installation Lead
  • Test and Evaluation Lead
  • Define Requirements for C-130 Parts/Systems
  • Comply with LCSE and OSSandE AFIs supplements, and related documents
  • Perform Risk Assessments and Risk Mitigation as necessary
  • Create and evaluate First Article Test Plans and First Article Test results
  • Create innovative solutions to problems that arise in C-130 Avionics Systems
  • Support Product Improvement Working Group tasks
  • Airworthiness Process, Compliance and Certification
  • Aerospace/Mechanical Theory, Maintenance Practices, Modification, and Operations
  • Engineering IT Tools and Databases/System

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Avionics Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
  • 4-9 years of directly related Electrical Engineering or Avionics Engineering experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance

Preferred (Not Required): Active Secret Security Clearance

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described herein are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in a standard office or conference room setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer.

To visit other company sites, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle and fly in an aircraft, both of which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time. Employees must possess vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required. This position requires an employee to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance; reach, push, and pull drawers and doors open and closed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
