Duties : Develop tools, frameworks, and instrumentation to validate and increase rollout success for applications. Develop CI/CD orchestration systems to reduce friction for software delivery to production. Develop scripts to automate operational tasks and incorporate the solutions into infrastructure. Triage alerts and diagnose and resolve critical issues and manage implementation of changes. Provide remediation solutions for in-scope applications and other up and downstream dependencies and implement monitoring for real-time application health. Monitor, log, and debug within integrated platform to align with best practice API monitoring methodology. Develop and implement cloud-based services to meet the specified business requirements. Develop self-healing creative solutions to reduce toil and improve detection while adhering to agile methodology within large scale, technically complex projects. Position allows for 100% remote work. Reports to company HQs in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.

Salary: $149,000 to $214,700 per year

What you have

Job Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 6 years of progressive, post-Bachelor’s experience in a related occupation.

Experience must include the following: Design and develop high-availability and high-resilient cloud infrastructure using Java/Spring Boot or Python; Automate cloud infrastructure creation and application deployments using Terraform, Helm charts, and harness; Develop tools, frameworks, and instrumentation to validate and increase rollout success for applications using JIRA, BitBucket, Confluence and Bamboo; Build, deliver, and scale containerized applications using Docker, Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and cloud Storage; Support automation using CI/CD pipelines for image creation, Blue/Green and canary deployments, and automate functional and security testing; Design and implement observability and monitoring frameworks for creating dashboards, alerts, and service SLOs using tools like Splunk, BigQuery, Log explorer, Grafana, or AppDynamics; and Build and maintain highly available, resilient, and scalable authentication systems which consist of cloud PCF, GCP, and Kafka.
