Charles Schwab Sr Manager, Software Development & Engineering Senior in Westlake, Texas

Duties : Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Continuously improve test processes through root cause analysis, correction, and preventions. Implement critical knowledge transfer and communication processes with all teams. Ensure effective and efficient application of test processes and tools using white box, grey box, black box, test-to-pass, test-to-fail, and automation. Define, improve, and implement test processes and tools. Responsible for management and coordination of all testing activities on assigned projects, including: definition of testing approach, test effort estimation, progress and status reporting, training and education on D&B QA processes, and tools. Provide continuous review and recommendations for improvement of processes related to status reporting, dash-boarding, and QA. Define project requirements and deliverables based on scope. Plan coverage projects from initiation through closing states. Create test coverage documentation, test execution plans, and metrics reports. Position allows for partial remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Salary: $139,464 to $246,800 per year

What you have

Job Requirements : Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field and 7 years of experience in a related occupation or a Master's degree and 5 years of experience. Experience must include the following: Parasoft SOA, C#, POSTMAN, and Python; Jmeter, Parasoft Load, or HP Performance Center; CI/CD using Bamboo, Harness, Splunk, AppDynamics, Jira, Confluence, and Zephyr; IBM MQ, Kafka messaging, and Rabbit MQ messaging; Aerospike, DB2, SQL, or MongoDB; PCF, Google Cloud Platform, and Linux Platform; Domain experience in trading and securities that includes equities, options, fixed income, mutual funds, advance contingent orders trading, trade settlements, balance, and positions aggregations.
